The Washington County Public Affairs Forum features Doug Hoy, Aloha Community Library Association President, and Eva Calcagno, Director Washington County Cooperative Library Services who will share the happenings of the newest Washington County library and the matters before the Cooperative at the January 13th, 2014 free Noon program.
Eva Calcagno's Bio: Eva Calcagno, Director of Washington County Cooperative Library Services, has worked for Washington County for 23 years including 16 as Director. She has a Master’s Degree from the University of Washington and lives in southwest Portland. The Washington County Cooperative Library Services partners with libraries across the county to provide free public library service for all county residents.
Doug Hoy’s Bio: Douglas Hoy, an Aloha/Beaverton resident since 1983, is an Electrical Engineer and Technology Manager with over 30 years experience in the high tech industry. His specialty has been developing integrated circuits for the electronic test and measurement, high speed telecommunications and automated test industry. He is currently retired, but involved in several entrepreneurial activities. His focus and expertise is leadership development and mentoring, project and program management, team building, and business operations planning.
Doug is a founding board member of the Aloha Community Library Association and has been in the position of Board President since November, 2011. He also enjoys working in and for the community as a volunteer for other community organizations. He is currently serving as Administration Elder for Cooper Mt. Presbyterian Fellowship where he has been active for 18 years as an Elder and church leader. He also serves as the Men’s Ministry Leader for that congregation which involves coordination and leadership development activities. Married to Cheryl, they have 3 adult children.
