EPISODE DESCRIPTION

Forum LogoThe Washington County Public Affairs Forum features Northwest Independent Writers Association writers Adam Copeland, Tonya Macalino and Mike Chinakos to the January 6th, 2014 Noon program, free to the public.

NIWA serves writers looking to achieve professional standards in independent writing, publishing, and marketing. NIWA was founded on February 5, 2011 in Vancouver, Washington, the brainchild of independent authors Mike Chinakos and Adam Copeland. Seeking to network resources and work through the challenges unique to independent publishing, they united a far-flung membership under a banner of creativity, collective problem-solving, and a commitment to professionalism.
NIWA was created to support indie authors aspiring to professional success. With so many indie titles published every day, the biggest hurdle to success as an indie author is gaining recognition for the quality of our work.
The members of NIWA recognize this need. Together they have developed NIWA's Seal of Quality (NSQ) to establish a standard of quality for independently published writing that is on par with that of traditional publishing.
